The music was wonderful coming out of the room, Emerald sat in front of the piano, her cloak was hung up and her beautiful black dress was visible now. Her snow white hair waved with each musical note as her fingers softly hit each note of her song. It sounded sweet and magical, she had wrote it herself, long ago she was living in a village of elves, she had learned many music, and learned to play, a flute was her favorite, but she loved playing the piano. Emerald stretched and continued to play, her fingers racing across the piano keys in a fast motion, this song was faster, and has more loud notes to it. She continued to play, not knowing of anyone near her.

Nicolas sang softly to himself as he walked down the hallway in the general direction of the ball room.
"Not a day goes by, And I don't think of you, And your angels lies, That I'm so drawn into, If you'd say the words, Into your arms I'd run, Oh I sure wish that I could be the one...[/color]"
Nicolas broke off as a heavy saddness filled him. He was a romantic at heart and being the kind of man he was, feared deeply for never finding a true love. Sayriel had unnerved him that day that she'd coem right out and told him she knew what he was, in as casual a manner as talking about the sheeps flocks outside in the vast Cashel Fields.
He sighed once again, shaking his head in meloncholy. He was stopped midstride at the sound of music coming from the Piano Room. He looked down at his parchment which stated what rooms aquired checking for new supplies and that room just so happened to be on it. Shrugging his shoulders, his mind made up, he went to the piano room, stopping at the threshold to the room at the sight before him. He smiled faintly as the pretty young woman in a magnificant black dress played the piano softly, the tune unfamiliar to him.
He hummed softly along to the music, his soft, lilting voice carrying perfectly with the melody orchistrated from the blonde woman's fingers.

Emerald continued playing until she started to hear someone humming to her lovely song and stopped, and looked around. There sat a tall, handsome man, he had to be the lord, by his looks she could tell. Emerald got up and put her sword next to her and approached him slowly. "Hello, are you the lord of Cashel?" she asked in a sweet, soft voice, she made sure she sounded respectful at the same time. "I am Emerald Sagosa, princess of the elven people." she added, there is the surprise! She bowed slightly, and looked at him with her ruby eyes.

Nicolas smiled brightly at the young woman. No doubt she was a pretty young lady. Well, since she was a guest of his he decided some ego pumping might make her feel nice and did just that. "Princess? You don't say! Well, you're most definitely pretty enough to be one, your highness. It's a pleasure to meet you." He took her hand as he bowed before her, placing a petal soft caress of lips upon her smooth skin.
"And milady, I am in fact the lord Cashel. Yet you may call me Nicolas, for such formalities are for charity events and for when our parents are around." He winked at her with a smile, even though the comment about parents slightly stung. "Please, I must be going soon but will you play another song for me? Please?"

Emerald smiled. "Nice to meet you Nicolas, it is a pleasure to be in your castle." she took her hand away and kissed it, then went to the piano and sat down. "I would love to play you another song, if you dont mind staying a little longer, I would like to play you a song on my flute." she said and looked over at him, her ruby eyes meeting with his, he was handsome she had to say that, but he was different, she liked gentlemen. Emerald started to play a song on the piano, a wonderful song, it was perfect, and well known, but also hard to play, but she had played it many times. Her beautiful wooden flute sat next to her, it was long, and made of a hard food, and had markings on it.

Nicolas smiled at the girl and took the seat next to her, hoping she didn't mistaken his friendly manner as flirtation. He scrunched up his nose at the thought. True, he believed women to be fine, beautiful creatures, there something just so magnificant about being held by a strong, verile, handsome man.
'I'm such a woman...'
Emerald started to play and he had to admit; she was good. Nicolas smiled as he recognized the words and feeling completely comfortable with himself, began to sing along to the beautiful song, the music and his voice creating a perfect harmony.

Emerald looked at him and continued playing, she didn't mind his niceness, she took it as like he was acting like a gentlemen, she knew the difference between flirting and kindness. She listened to him sing, and sang too, she sung to, she was quit good at it, and her notes strung together, and the song was finished. "Alright, do you mind staying for a song from my flute?" she asked smiling, and picked it up to show him it's smooth finish and the looks of the symbols and carvings on it.

Nicolas inwardly groaned. Although he found this little Elf fascinating and one of the cutest little things that had come to his castle in a long while, he still had much work to do. Nonetheless, he couldn't possibly walk out on her when she already had the beautiful flute out and practically tossed infront of him.
Smiling brightly he chuckled before saying softly, "It would be an honour to hear you play."

Emerald smiled and put the flute her her mouth, and started to play, the tune was sharp and calm at the same time, it was called Eternal Love, she wrote it a while back when she lived in the city of Elves. She finger tips moved along at a fast pace and played each note without not one squeak. Elves were known for their music and great agility, but he came from a tribe of Warrior Elves, that is why she is the way she is, her sword carved by a master elf, and Light Queen carved in the blade. She took it from her mouth and bowed, she was glad to play that piece for him. "Ok, I hope you liked it, I hope I didn't hold up your work?" she said calmly.

Nicolas chuckled and clapped heartily. "It was wonderfully done, little princess. I would love to stay and hear more but I own, there are chores that are to be done. I must travel around the castle making lists on what is to be restocked and what is to be left be." Nicolas sighed with a shake of his head, backing slowly towards the door as he finished, not really wanting to leave the little lady yet not quite having all that much of a choice. "You must play at dinner some time, your highness. It would be a great honour to all at Cashel Castle, no doubt." He smiled brightly at her, saddened to have to turn away to leave.

Emerald got up and put a hand on his shoulder. "It would be my pleasure to do so." she smiled and put her sword on her belt and put her bow on her back. "I must go find a room now, do you mind if I play at tonights dinner? I mean, it would be nice, and dinner time hasn't come yet?" she suggested, and pulled something out, a key. "This is my key to my room, well, if I am allowed, see you at dinner?" she added and went in front of him to talk.

Nicolas nodded, a smile upon his face even as he pulled out his wooden board with parchment strapped to it for his markings of inventory. "We will be waiting for your beauty to grace us all night. I look forward to it and so shall the rest of the castle. Good day madame." And with that he was walking down the hall in the direction of the Ball Room. A thought struck him and he turned around to call out the room number to the dining hall before turning back to his duty at hand.

"Alright, thank you!" she called and hurried down the hall and up stairs to her room. she opened the door and looked inside. "Time to get ready." she thought and smiled, and put her sword and bow down, and hung up her cloak. She took a bath, and brushed her hair, putting on a light lip stick, and eye shadow, she was not a heavy make up wearer. Emerald put on her Mystic Topaz necklace on, and took her belt off that held her sword, and put on her special dress that was black, and had blue roses on it, and put a single blue rose in her hair and took off her head band so that it was the only thing on her head. "Alright, I am ready." she smiled.
